Voice Threading
Since I am going to be a special education teacher voice threading I would say that voice thread would be important. If you make a digital book over a task you are trying to teach the student and they hear a familiar voice, like their teachers or parent they will be more willing to learn the task because it may be of comfort to them. Since it holds information, pictures, and videos it easy to use for pretty much anything. You might even be able to make a lesson using voice thread. Technology is so important now that using something this easy is great. It is free to so that is always plus because we all know teacher will use anything that is free that we can use in the classroom.
WoOoHOoO Google Docs!
So the question for today is how is Google Docs effective in education today?
Well.....Google Docs is somewhat similar to Microsoft office, meaning that you can form powerpoints and word documents but just in Google. You may also do like what we did during our ETEC time get the whole class to participate when you are going over a lesson, because everyone may have access to it at one time. It was neat for everyone to be on the same page looking over the same information at the same time because we could all help each other out. You can also write in the document and add or delete stuff and it will save automatically. So if you are having computer time the whole class could be looking at the same document or powerpoint.

Blogs are GrEaT!!!
Blogs in a classroom is a great idea for not only the students but for the parents as well. I found a blog on a second grade classroom where the teachers posts "Home Learning" assignments for the students. These assignments go with what they are learning in the classroom. The latest one is to write down a diary of how they have eaten for the week, and how they have stayed fit this year. I think that any writing is good practice for students. Blogs like these are good practice for our students when it comes to writing. The best part is that the students will not even realize that they are gaining skills by doing this!
